MetaGods launches into alpha
Players can now try out an early version of the play-to-earn, 8-bit bullet hell action MMORPG by inputting their email address and connecting their wallet on the game's website.

MetaGods, a play-to-earn action MMORPG, has officially launched into alpha.
Players can try out this early version of the game by entering an email address and connecting their wallet either using Metamask or Wallet Connect on the game's website. Participating in this alpha test opens up the opportunity of having a better chance at claiming various special rewards.
Running on the BNB Chain, this blockchain title features 8-bit style visuals and has players play as generative NFTs that resemble demigods such as Hercules or Achilles, taking down various monsters and dungeon bosses which are mythological gods such as Zeus, Poseidon and more in top-down, bullet hell action.
The developers plan to offer cross-chain gameplay, with the BNB Chain being the first network the game is currently playable on. The second blockchain the game will launch on will be Solana, with more chains to come afterwards in the future.
A dual-token model will be used for the game’s economy: $MGOD, the main utility governance token and $RELIC, the core uncapped in-game currency. The former is to be used for paying entry fees to special events, for voting on the direction of the game through a DAO, for trading NFTs on a future marketplace and more. As for the latter, it will be used for upgrading and repairing equipment, purchasing consumables and more, with the team stating that “$RELIC consumption will be a core gameplay mechanic in Guild and Land utilities, keeping the inflation of $RELIC in check.”
