Meta's Head of Content Partnerships Nick Grudin Leaves to Join Dapper Labs
Nick Grudin, who spent almost 12 years spearheading content and partnerships strategies at Meta will take on a new role as Chief Business Officer at Dapper Labs.
Meta's Head of Content Partnerships will join Dapper Labs next month
Nick Grudin, VP of content and community partnerships at Meta, announced his departure from the social media giant after working there for almost 12 years. Given that, Grudin will take on a new role as Chief Business Officer (CBO) at NFT startup Dapper Labs next month.
With his exit from Meta, Grudin's team will now report directly to Justin Osofsky, VP of content and global operations. "We're grateful for Nick's contributions over the last 12 years and we wish him well in his future endeavors," a Meta spokesperson told Variety. "Through his leadership, the content and community partnerships team is well positioned to innovate for years to come. Meta continues to be an incubator for great leaders and we're excited to see what Nick does in his next chapter."
Grudin joined Facebook in 2010 and oversaw the rapid growth of the company over the decade. He and his team launched and scaled multiple new products to global adoption, including growing the video ecosystem, making it a large part of how people consume Facebook and Instagram today. Needless to say, these also include bringing product innovations to reality, such as Meta's recent efforts to add NFT support for Instagram in 100 countries.
Commenting on Grudin's hire, Dapper Labs CEO and Co-Founder Roham Gharegozlou said: "With his proven track record of driving brand and customer experiences while also enabling scalable and sustained growth, Nick will help us to further accelerate our goal to bring the first billion people to the blockchain."
In his new role, Grudin will be responsible for driving partnerships, developer experience, and marketing across the Dapper Labs portfolio. To list, this includes Dapper wallet, Flow blockchain, as well as the Dapper Sports Studio - developer of NBA Top Shot, NFL All Day, and UFC Strike.
In fact, Grudin's appointment at Dapper Labs in September will coincide with the new season of NBA Top Shot. According to reports, this is the time when Dapper will launch a slew of new blockchain products and partnerships.
