The MetaShooter team has recently provided detailed information on the upcoming pre-beta major update.

In this Part 1 article, developer MG Labs has revealed that the new update will include the addition of a radar and compass.  The radar will be located in the top right corner of the screen and helps show what’s going on around the player’s surroundings, as it detects both sound and movement, helping find animals to hunt. Getting lost as you’re exploring the huge open world? No worries, as the compass that’s included in this new update will help make navigation easier, as it not only shows whether you’re heading north, east, south and west at the top middle part of the screen, but it also whether you’re heading towards a certain landmark, which includes things such as your car, watch towers, your camp and more.

Next to introducing these new UI elements, the other parts of the user interface have received an overhaul, replacing the current health and stamina bars with minimalistic ones, which should be less distracting and help make “your exploration experience more immersive.”

Compared to the existing open world available for players to explore, the new update will make it possible to explore the entire island, meaning the map will be 20-30 times larger compared to what can currently be explored. The visuals have also been improved, specifically the shadows, making them visible even from far away.

The new update brings with it 20 watch towers placed in various parts of the map, allowing players to use them in order to get a better view of the area and thus more easily find animals to hunt. Eventually in watch towers players will be able “to find ammunition and supplies there in the future.”

A breathing system is also included, making it more difficult and realistic to shoot. This means that there will also be the option to hold your breath for a couple of seconds while aiming in order to better take your shot.

The pre-beta major September update for the first-person hunting metaverse is scheduled to release at the end of this month on September 30. More info on what else is included with this update will be revealed in a Part 2 article.
