MetaSoccer announces PvP World Cup Qualifiers Tournament
News

The developer of MetaSoccer, Champion Games, has announced their first PvP competition: the PvP World Cup Qualifiers Tournament.

The tournament is split into three editions, with the first one beginning tomorrow, on November 21, and ending on November 27. Anyone can sign up using the registration button found in the Web3 app, without any limit on the number of players imposed. Those who register will be placed into all three editions, with the 2nd one lasting from November 28 to December 4 and the 3rd one from December 5 to December 11.

As was the case with PvE tournaments, the same applies for this PvP one: there’s a competition for all 5 divisions, with every division consisting of 14 different teams. Each team plays 2 matches every day, with the exception being Mondays when every team plays only 1 match. Everything is scheduled in advance, so you’ll be able to know who you’re up against and when ahead of time, giving you the chance to set up the right tactics and prepare your best lineup before the start of a match that “will run automatically.” It is very important to make sure your team is ready for every match, because if you have an incomplete lineup, or have picked players which have “conditions levels that prevent them to participate at the time of the match,” then you’ll end up with an automatic 3-0 loss.

Players bought or minted during an edition will not be able to play in the current lineup, but will have to wait for the next edition in order to be eligible for selection.

Most divisions during these qualifiers will include $MSU as rewards. After this competition is the World Cup tournament, planned to start on December 12 with up to 90k $MSU up for grabs. In order to qualify, your team “must be in the top two of its grouping during one of the tournament editions.”
