MetaSoccer Introduces Custom Tournaments
The Custom Tournaments feature is now live in beta, replacing the MetaSoccer League and allowing anyone to create their own PvP competitions for players to participate in.
Champion Games is revamping the competitive aspect of MetaSoccer with this month's introduction of Custom Tournaments to the soccer metaverse.
The new feature launched in beta on March 17th, allowing anyone to host their own tournaments for managers to participate in. With this community-centric feature release, the developers have opted to completely remove its divisions system, meaning teams will no longer be categorized into Amateur, Beginner, Semi-Pro, Pro and Legend divisions, but will instead be sorted by their overall level, ranging from 10 to a 100. According to the FAQ in the official announcement post, this also means that the MetaSoccer League will no longer be organized any more, as these new PvP tournaments are taking its stead.
When creating a tournament, you're able to choose the time and duration of the competition, the maximum number of participants, minimum and maximum team level as well the prize pool and entry fee that players pay with $MSU. During the beta version of this feature, the maximum entry fee that creators can set is limited to 100 $MSU. As for the prize pool, hosts can choose from 3 different models: one which awards 100% to the winner, another which distributes to the top 3, and a 3rd option where the top 6 get a share of the rewards. More options will be added in the future.
