MetaSoccer Releases Team Management Feature After Launching PvE Game Mode
Play-to-earn MetaSoccer introduced the Team Management feature, after a smooth launch of the PvE game mode. Let's take a closer look!
How does Team Management work in MetaSoccer?
After launching the PvE game mode in May, MetaSoccer released a new feature called Team Management in the game. In essence, it allows users to create their own teams in the soccer metaverse. With that, they can come up with multiple lineups and strategies when competing in different tiers.
According to MetaSoccer, since the Team Management mode is still under testing, there are some limitations when it comes to naming your own teams. As of now, all teams will be called MSU and numbered by order of creation. For instance, MSU#1, MSU#2, and so on. But no worries, the team promised to enable custom naming in the near future.
Make no mistake though, Team Management is not just about building teams. In fact, the feature also provides detailed analytics to help you analyze your team! Once you have formed your team, you will receive a summary showing the average and potential stats of all players. This will give any MetaSoccer club manager a good insight into the team's potential.
What is MetaSoccer?
To begin with, MetaSoccer is a Polygon-based play-to-earn soccer metaverse developed by Champion Games. Within the game, users can manage their own NFT soccer clubs and generate income while they play. Dubbed “the Axie Infinity of Soccer”, users will mostly earn $MSC (MetaSoccer Cash) tokens from PvE matches or $MSU (MetaSoccer Universe) tokens for ranking high on the PvP leaderboard.
As of writing, only PvE mode is available in the game. Anyone who wants to get started will need to own at least 11 NFT players to form a team. If you want to, you can also buy some NFT Youth Scouts to search for new players.
Interestingly, all NFTs will go through an aging mechanism, which means each NFT only has a certain lifespan. According to Champion Games, this is part of the plan to prevent the overpopulation of in-game characters in MetaSoccer.
