MetaSoccer to Launch its First DAO Voting and DAO Maker-Sponsored Tournament This Week
Champions Council, the MetaSoccer DAO, will finally go live with the first community voting this week. As a bonus, DAO Maker will also sponsor the game's upcoming tournament. Let's dive in!
MetaSoccer's first DAO voting is set to happen this week
Champions Council, the DAO behind MetaSoccer, will open up its first community voting this week. According to Champion Games, the creator of the football management game, the voting may result in changes to the Scouting mechanism. Anyone who holds $MSU tokens, Youth Scout, or Pioneer Youth Scout NFTs can vote on the best option to improve the said feature.
To those who don't know, Scouting is a process whereby users send Youth Scouts in search of young soccer players to join their squads. In the past few months, though, many people complained about inconsistencies in the process and suggested a few ways for MetaSoccer to improve it.
Members of the Champions Council DAO will have three options to vote for:
- Leave the Scouting system as it is; OR
- Add some variability to the player potential, allowing users a small chance to get a higher-tier player, but never a lower-tier one; OR
- Add some variability to the player potential, but with more chances to get players above or below the Scout tier.
On top of that, MetaSoccer is going to change how Scouts can improve their attributes. Instead of gaining more experience through Scouting, Scouts will be able to improve through a separate learning process soon.
About the DAO Maker-sponsored tournament
In case you didn't get the memo, MetaSoccer launched its first PvE tournament called Summer League early this month. Split into a few editions; each tourney will start every Tuesday before ending next Monday.
Given that, the upcoming tournament on August 30th will be sponsored by DAO Maker, with bonus prizes worth $2,000 in $DAO. Registrations will open on Monday. But it's unclear if the competition rules are the same as for Summer League. Those who are interested will need to stay tuned for more details.
