Metaverse Fashion Week
Decentraland, the world's largest user-owned and operated virtual social world, has revealed the return of Metaverse Fashion week. The event's organizer and host platform, Decentraland, has explained that the Metaverse-based event will hold from the 28th to the 31st of March, 2023. This will be a virtual conclusion to the spring/summer fashion season.
The inaugural Metaverse Fashion Week was held in March this year and hosted more than 108,000 people who explored the world of wearables and digital fashion. Over four days, the event had over 50 luxury and digital brands displaying their collections and hosting presentations, panel discussions, after-parties, and film installations.
Furthermore, Luxury brands such as Tommy Hilfiger, Etro, Selfridges, Dolce & Gabbana, Guo Pei, Paco Rabanne, and many others participated in the event. In addition, the legacy fashion houses and the new digital fashion brands minted more than 165,000 free wearables during the event. However, despite the technical glitches, this served as a peek into how brands can build their narratives in the Metaverse.
