MetaWars Plans to Release Closed Tech Demo Later This Month
Whitelisted players will have a chance of trying the closed tech demo of MetaWars sometime in late February.
The MetaWars team has recently revealed that they plan to launch the closed tech demo of their sci-fi blockchain title in late February.
This was mentioned in an official tweet at the beginning of this month, the same tweet in which they announced that everyone who wants to find out if they’re one of the winners of the Gleam whitelist campaign for this tech demo can find out by heading to the game’s official Discord server. The Gleam whitelist campaign opened back in December last year, giving anyone interested a chance of winning one of 20 spots for the closed tech demo by completing various Gleam tasks. Apart from the mentioned timeframe, no exact date is available for when the 20 lucky winners will be able to try out the early version of this upcoming title.
MetaWars is a strategy RPG that will run on the BNB Chain and will have players create their own customizable Mech NFTs that will be used to battle for various resources that are needed to make more powerful robots. It’ll be possible to dismantle these Mechs into parts, while using public research facilities and Planet NFTs will make it possible to research stronger Mech NFTs. Using these NFTs, players will be able to enjoy PvP and PvE gameplay in the form of story-driven campaigns, ranked 1v1 and 5v5 tournaments, weekly combat events and fleet raids. Owning a Planet NFT will allow you to earn the game’s governance token, $WARS, but with aliens occasionally attacking, you’ll have to make sure to defend your planet in order to prevent from having your rewards get decreased.
