Mini Royale: Nations Adds Gear and Power Level
Gears increase the power level of the Hero, and players can either purchase or mint them.
The Gear System
In December, Mini-Royale introduced a new gear system for hero skins in its latest season. This system allows players to attach gear items to hero skins as long as the hero exists as a non-fungible token (NFT). When a gear is equipped with a hero NFT, it provides permanent bonuses to that hero. To be eligible for this, players must be at least level 20, and the item must be level 10 or higher. There is a fee of 0.8 SOL (plus transaction costs) for minting the item.
Players in Mini-Royale can acquire gear through two methods: purchasing it from Magic Eden or creating it through Fusion contracts. Fusion contracts, which require a player level of 44 and a hero minted through the Fusion Lab, allow players to burn specific NFTs to create a new, limited-edition item that often provides a bonus in the current Clan War event.
There are six types of gear available - rings, necklaces, watches, bracelets, perfume, and belts - and each hero has one open slot per gear type. Gear must be minted before it can be equipped and minted as an NFT from level 1.
New Features in Season 4
In its current Season 4, titled "Season of the Samurai," Mini-Royale has introduced character shards to the game. Instead of awarding players with a whole character or weapon skin at once, the game gives out these items in smaller increments. This change will likely control NFT inflation in the game's economy.
However, casual players may feel disappointed at only receiving a few shards of various items. In addition to new NFTs, a new battle pass, and a new map, Season 4 also brings SOL rewards for individual and clan leaderboards. A portion of the funds spent on buying unique, alimited-edition character shard boxes will contribute to the size of these reward pools. These SOL rewards are in addition to the standard Butter and NFT rewards offered for clan events.
