MOBOX Merges MOMO Farmer and MOMOverse Resource Mining
The merge makes all MOMOs from MOMO Farmer mine resources in both MOMO Farmer and MOMOverse, while introducing a couple of changes to the productivity of a MOMO NFT.
The MOBOX team has announced the MOMO Farmer and MOMOverse Resource Mining have now been officially merged.
With this merge, all MOMOs from MOMO Farmer are now set to mine resources located in the MOMOverse, making the NFTs do mining in both places. According to the developers, this change brings increased value to the MOMOs while lowering the barrier of entry to the MOMOverse, as players now “no longer need to perform the tedious operations of MOMO relocation”.
Before the change was made, MOMOverse stopped giving resources on December 5 at 8 AM UTC and all players were told to send their MOMOs from the MOMOverse to the MOMO Farmer in preparation for this merge. Players who did not migrate their NFTs to the MOMO Farmer prior to the merge have not had their MOMOs automatically mapped to participate in Resource Mining in both locations.
With this merge come new changes to how productive MOMOs are. The Productivity of a MOMO is calculated based on the sum of the Current Hash Power, the Total Gem Bonus and Fixed Productivity Bonus. In the team’s update post, they state the “Gem Bonus for each level” has been reduced by 50%, while the Fixed Productivity Bonus has been lowered from 600 to 300. The developers also mentioned that BEP-721 MOMO NFTs that fail to meet the Initial Hash Power requirement end up losing their Productivity as well as their Fixed Productivity Bonus.
