The crafting and staking mechanism works by allocating a percentage of the purchase price into a special wallet connected to the crafted item, each having a balance of $ALICE tokens. This setup ensures that the item has a guaranteed floor price, and the tokens retain a guaranteed value. From Alpha Season 4 onwards, players have the option to sell back the item to claim the collateral amount, or they can retain the item for continued use in the game.
Enhancements to the Marketplace and Reward System
As part of this initiative, improvements have been made to the Marketplace to facilitate ease of use for players. A new section labeled "Staking" has been added under "My assets", where players can view all their $ALICE tokens from Chromia. This section provides transparency by displaying the amount of $ALICE used as collateral for each item.
Furthermore, the Marketplace will also indicate the amount of unclaimed $ALICE in a player's wallet, offering the option to claim it instantly. These rewards compound over time, allowing players to accumulate more if they choose to leave them unclaimed for a longer period. Information regarding the most recent claimed rewards can also be viewed easily on the platform.
