New Illuvium: Overworld Gameplay is Out - Here's What the Game Looks Like
Illuvium just dropped a new Overworld gameplay video and fans couldn't be more thrilled for the AAA leaks!

What does Illuvium: Overworld look like? (hint: it's sick)
Yesterday, Illuvium dropped a bomb with a new Overworld gameplay video. And fans couldn't be more thrilled for the AAA leaks! In just 24 hours, the video gained more than 10k views on YouTube, showing how much hype there is for the game.
For a start, Illuvium: Overworld is an open-world RPG where you can explore 7 regions of Illuvium in search of rare Illuvials and valuable resources. The RPG will eventually link up with other Illuvium games/ game modes such as the Survival mode, Arena, and Illuvium: Zero.
But let's get back to the video, shall we? Basically, it shows how Arlen, the main character in the game explores the dangerous Crimson Waste in Illuvium. So far, the video has confirmed many of the game mechanics stated in the whitepaper. For instance, you will need to spend energy on almost every action in the Overworld. This can be anything from traveling around with the jetpack or special boots, harvesting plants, mining minerals, or even scanning for Illuvials in the game.
During the trip, players may come across an Encounter with a certain number of Illuvials as shown below. In that case, you can choose to scan or enter the encounter directly to fight those Illuvials. If you win, you can capture these creatures using empty shards and add them to your collection. Just like Pokémon Go but with much superior gameplay.

What's next for Illuvium: Overworld?
According to Grant Warwick, co-founder of Illuvium, there's still so much to be done with the game. The team is now working on new movement mechanics, environment and plant physics, weapon VFX, spatial sounds, teleport and auto-battle sequences, level loading screens, and more. In short, taking care of all the bits and pieces to ship a triple-A game.
Lastly, here's another good news. The Illuvium: Overworld will go live in the 2nd private beta soon! We're pretty sure there are 7k beta players who can't wait to try out the RPG already. If you haven't watched it yet, here's the video:
