NFT.NYC Event Set to Hold in New York
The event will host thousands of participants, feature hundreds of speakers, and showcase exhibitions by upcoming artists.
Jodee Rich has said they are ready to host one of the largest NFT.NYC event, for the fourth year. Alongside its vice president of growth, Quinn Button, Rich gave a robust interview discussing their plans and expectations for the program.
Activities in NYC.NFT
NFT.NYC is an event that celebrates NFT’s diversity in 16 sectors such as sports, ticketing, art, film, and so on. It will be held from June 20 -23 in New York. It will be a potpourri of panel sessions, chats, talks, and pop-up events. 15000 people from various walks of life are expected to attend, a drastic increase from last year’s tally of 5600.
In a statement, Rich said,
“Our thing is about giving the community a voice. That’s what we wanted to do since the beginning. We’re not an event that goes hunting for celebrities – we want the community to feel that this is a place where they can be on stage and talk to the rest of the community.”
The team has selected 221 upcoming international artists from 5000 applicants to showcase their work on a Times Square Billboard and at the Marriott Hotel. These artists will also be able to mint their work at a choice price and own 70% of the revenue generated from sales.
NFTs Will Help Humanitarian Efforts
Vice president Button is also optimistic that NFTs will disrupt the major sector of economies, including the music industry, despite the price decline.
These tokens have been instrumental in support of Ukraine’s humanitarian efforts. Thus, topics such as wellness, philanthropy, mental health, and sustainability will be emphasized at the penal discussions and talks hosted by Chigari from June 21 -22 at the Edison Ballroom South.
