NFTSTAR Signs Deals with Top Football Stars Ahead of Metaverse Sport Village
In preparation for Global Sports Village on The SandBox, NFTSTAR has signed deals with Neymar Jr., Son Heung-Min, and Luis Figo.
Web3 sports fandom social platform, NFTSTAR has completed ambassadorship deals with three top football stars.
The platform has signed deals with Neymar Jr., a Brazilian football player who currently plays for PSG, and Son Heung-Min, a South Korean who plays for Tottenham Fc. NFTSTAR also signed a deal with Luis Figo, the retired Portuguese player who won the 2000 Ballon d'Or award.
As stated by NFTSTAR, the “Global Sports Village” will permit fans of these football icons to connect with their idol. The event will feature regular meet-and-greets, AMAs, exclusive NFT drops, and a virtual sports arena.
Why is the Global Sports Village taking place on The Sandbox?
The Global Sports Village will be taking place on The SandBox. To bring this to reality, NFTSTAR has partnered with Forj, an Animoca Brand company that had previously worked with Ankr, Mantra DAO, Phala Network, Polygon, and The Sandbox. Speaking on why the company has chosen The SandBox, the co-founder of NFTSTAR, Abe Ren said it is the best metaverse for the Global Sports Village. He added that The SandBox will promote its brands, the featured athletes, and its NFT. Invariably, the metaverse platform will increase the coverage of the global sports and gaming community.
Recently, NFTSTAR launched Neymar Jr. NFTs on its marketplace. The NFT will allow holders to engage in community voting. One of the major goals of the team is to connect with a lot of fans across the globe. Currently. NFTSTAR is solely focused on the metaverse.
Other football agencies are actively interacting with the metaverse. For instance, FIFA signed metaverse deals with Upland metaverse and Roblox metaverse in September and October respectively. In addition, Spain’s top football league, LaLiga in partnership with DCL has partnered with two Web3 companies StadioPlus and Vegas City Limited.
