Nissan Motor Joins Metaverse through ARIYA Campaign
The automobile company has asked five UK-based artists to create interactive art for the Ariya Campaign that will run for the next two months.
Five UK-Based Artists Will Be Creating Electrified Arts
Nissan Motors has made a grand entry into the metaverse space using top-notch technology. The company is making history as the first automaker to enter the virtual space using 2D and 3D VR to provide an immersive experience.
The company reached out to five UK-based artists to draw images of ARIYA using electrified technology, depicting the brand as a ray of hope. The artists include Retro Manni of Birmingham, Neil Keating of Liverpool, Tishk Barzanji of London, Antidote of Manchester, and Janice Leung, based in Leeds.
Using WebXR technology, this campaign will serve as an interactive experience compatible with different platforms such as mobile, PC, and AR/VR. These artworks will have a QR code embedded in them. Upon scanning, anyone can enter the virtual city as they will be directed through a landing page.
Ariya Campaign Is a Partnership Campaign
Nic Thomas, the Marketing Director of Nissan Motor GB, said,
“The Japanese timeless design and innovation of the Ariya allows us to influence and explore new ways of communicating with our customers and I am very excited to be able to promote Nissan as one of the first car manufacturers to utilize the metaverse in this immersive and inclusive manner.”
This campaign saw Nissan Motor collaborating with TBWA, an advertising agency; Quantum Universe, a metaverse experience builder and Warm Storm, a top creator marketing agency. The campaign will run for two months. Order books for the product are now available, and the first set of delivery will start in August.
Meta Creative Shop Global Creative Lead Barry Christie stated,
“With the Nissan Electric Lab, you can get really close to the new Nissan Ariya and the campaigns artists electrified artwork; in fact, you can literally step into it with a Meta Quest headset for a fully immersive experience or explore it in 3D on your mobile or computer.”
