OREO has introduced a new, limited-edition cookie called the "Most OREO OREO," and to launch it, they have created an immersive digital world called the "OREOVERSE" where fans can play games and have virtual adventures. 

Martha Stewart, a long-time fan of the brand, will be a guide in this virtual world and will be streaming her experience next week with her friend and gardener Ryan McCallister. Stewart said she is excited to debut in the metaverse with one of her favorite cookie brands and that she and McCallister have been on many adventures together.

The virtual world of the OREOVERSE, hosted on Meta Horizon Worlds, allows fans to participate in cookie-themed games and contests to win prizes, including a grand prize of $50,000. Fans can create their virtual OREO cookie and participate in other activities in this virtual world. Julia Rosenbloom, Senior Brand Manager at OREO, stated that the brand is excited for fans to connect and share the playful spirit of the brand. The OREOVERSE can be accessed through Meta Quest 2 or Meta Quest Pro headsets and a computer or mobile phone at OREOVERSE.OREO.com.

Other Beverage Brands in the Metaverse

OREO is not the only brand that has launched new products in the metaverse. Launching products in the metaverse is becoming increasingly popular among big brands such as OREO, Coca-Cola, Chipotle, and McDonald's. 

Other major brands have also released new products and experiences in virtual worlds. For example, last year, Coca-Cola released a "pixel-flavored" drink with metaverse gaming utilities. Customers who bought the Coca-Cola Zero Sugar Byte could play an 8-bit game in Pixel Point, an island designed by Coca-Cola in the Fortnite metaverse. 

Additionally, McDonald's recently collaborated with content creator Karen X Cheng to celebrate Lunar New Year in the Spatial metaverse. The collaboration included virtual and augmented reality experiences and a virtual meet-and-greet event with Cheng on February 2nd.
