OXYA Land Rarity and Utility Details Unveiled
Owners of land will be able to stake their plot of land, merge it into larger land, gather various resources to use for crafting equipment and weapons, construct various buildings and more.
The team that is working on the virtual world called The Gates of Oxya and is behind the Oxya Origin Web3 gaming ecosystem has recently revealed details on OXYA Land rarity and utility.
Lands represent the core of the platform’s economy. Whenever someone wants to create or upgrade an in-game asset, they have to do it on land. Holders of land get to gather various resources on their turf, using everything collected to craft weapons and equipment, as well as “build utility infrastructures for passive revenue.” Some of these structures include the Armoury and Engineering Bay. The former is used to craft and upgrade NFT weapons, while the latter helps speed up production and unlocks further things to build. Owners can upgrade buildings in order to “increase productivity and open more possibilities” while the amount of structures that can be built depends on the size of land. Some buildings can only be made on larger land, and everything built on larger plots of land can even “provide rarer item drops from crafting.”
It will be possible to stake land, and those who end up doing so will be given access to the OXYA Federation, which is a “decentralised governance entity that rules The Gates.” Being a part of this entity comes with a number of advantages, including the right to vote, but also access to “equity rewards from the Vault, airdrops and OXYA token.”
While every plot of land is minted at a 1x1 size, that doesn’t mean it isn’t possible to get larger sizes, as thanks to the non-fungible Merge Hammer, owners can combine these basic plots into 2x2 Colony or 4x4 Empire lands.
The rarity of a land plot depends on its position, infrastructure and environment. As there are different planets, the visuals of each land plot can drastically vary. For more details, check out the official post here.
“Players will be able to manage their Lands, complete missions and trade assets gas-free on the OXYA HQ starting Q1 2023.”
Oxya Origin is one of the 11 projects included in Ubisoft’s Entrepreneurs Lab Season 7 lineup.
