Everyone who has been accepted into the first wave of the closed alpha of Parallel can now test out the sci-fi NFT trading card game for about one week. Parallel, a sci-fi NFT trading card game, is now officially live in closed alpha.
After initially announcing the launch two weeks ago, players picked to be in the first wave are now able to play the game for about. Acceptance emails started to be sent out on February 22nd, so you’ll know by now if you’ve been selected to participate in any of the three waves. There are a total of 3 waves, and acceptance emails for all of them have been sent. Once all the waves are over, there will be an All Waves Weekend in which where all alpha testers will get to play together in a weekend that will mark the end of this closed alpha, closing on March 26th. Everyone that’s currently been picked to playtest in Wave 1 is now able to access the closed alpha Discord server. The next wave of testers will get access to the server once the time to start their playtesting gets closer.
According to the FAQ for this closed alpha, players participating are under an NDA (non-disclosure agreement), so it’s unlikely that we’ll get to see some gameplay at this point in time.
As was stated before, this version of the game is playable on Windows only and it isn’t properly optimized to work on low-spec PCs, with only support for 16:9 aspect ratios present. It will be possible to play on Mac at some point in the future.
