Introducing Phantom Catalysts and Their Influence
Phantom Catalysts offer a unique way to shape the traits of generative NFTs, including Planets, Starfighters, and Avatars. When minting a generative Planet NFT, owners can use Catalysts to influence its characteristics. While specific gameplay effects are still being finalized, Phantom Catalysts for Planets have the power to impact ecosystems, resources, and more.
Resource Level determines the number and value of resource tiles on Planets. Ranging from Very Limited to Superabundant, this level influences the chances of generating different types of resource tiles. Resources exist in solid, liquid, and gas forms, categorized by reactivity. Unstable and Radioactive resources offer increased usefulness but require advanced buildings for harvesting and storage.
Unveiling Planet Traits and Influences
Planets in the Phantom Catalyst universe fall into three Ecosystem categories: Aridic, Edenic, and Glacic. With an Ecosystem Phantom Catalyst, users can set the Ecosystem trait during Planet Minting, ensuring a specific type of ecosystem is generated. On the other hand, Planet Surfaces range from excessively mountainous to very smooth, with terrain impacting movement speed and gameplay.
Other traits, such as Bedrock Firmness, determine the solidity of a Planet's ground, affecting construction and mining activities. Hostility traits create hazards on Planets, with each Ecosystem type subject to different kinds of Hostilities. The severity and impact of hazards depend on Planet size, specific traits, and Environmental Harshness. More information on Hostilities will be shared in the future.
Discoveries, rare finds on Planets, are generated within a set range determined by the Planet's size. By using a Phantom Catalyst, the number of Discoveries can be increased. Set values determine the likelihood of specific Discoveries appearing on a Planet, adding to its unique features. Nebula Traits affect the background of Planet NFTs, adding visual variations.
