Shortly after opening up its beta game to all existing players, Phantom Galaxies, the much-celebrated sci-fi blockchain RPG, is set to enter the next chapter of its development with an early access (EA) launch on the Epic Games Store and Steam.
The early version will be available for PC users on November 2nd, allowing players to pilot their space mechas into the unknown and engage in high-intensity combat while protecting mankind from savage pirates.
Set in a vast, immersive universe, Phantom Galaxies is an expansive multiplayer sci-fi RPG that promises fast-paced mechas and high-octane action, with a compelling story and characters, coupled with unique Web3 integration. Players will follow the story of Ensign, an ambitious pilot who joins the Ranger Squadron, a force of elite mecha pilots formed by the Commonwealth and the Union to protect human settlements on the edges of known space. Players will take on the role of a Ranger and control a Mechanized Starfighter to defend against ruthless pirate factions ranging from scavenging Junkers to the paramilitary Brooksea and the reviled Xanorra.
During early access, players can create unique characters, build and customize their mecha to suit their playstyle, and engage in high-intensity battles in space or on the ground as they defend human colonies from savage pirates. Players can fight alone or team up with friends in multiplayer modes, with several mecha types to choose from, specializing in close, medium, or long-ranged combat and fully customizable combat focused on assault, defense, or both.
It should be noted that there are two types of free-to-play EA, which will be available upon release. The Web3 version will be available through the Phantom Galaxies website and Epic Games, while the blockchain-free version will be accessible on Steam.
