Pirate Nation Announces Launch of Starter Islands
Every Pirate Nation player now has their own Starter Island that they can decorate with various objects gained from crafting and opening Founder’s Chests.

Proof of Play, the blockchain gaming studio behind Pirate Nation, has announced the introduction of Starter Islands to their on-chain title.
With the new Islands feature, every player has their unique Starter Island that they can travel to and place various decorations made from crafting and gained from opening Founder’s Chests. It’s not possible to alter the size or shape of the island as those properties are fixed, meaning that what you place and how you place those objects are what will ultimately affect the appearance of your island. As inventory and crafting windows carry over to the island, you won’t have to travel back to craft a new item, but can instead do it straight away while at the island.
According to the official Twitter thread announcement, Starter Islands are, as the name implies, only the beginning of this new feature that plays a key role in “enabling your creativity and strategy,” and that there will be more fun things to do with islands in the future. In the announcement, the developers also reveal that they soon plan to release functional items, water items, and the option to visit islands belonging to other players.
To mark the launch of this creative feature, the developers have kicked off a design contest where both the game’s team and the community will vote for the best submission that will be eligible for prizes that include Beach Loungers and a Skeleton that you can see at the end of the below thread, with the thread also containing instructions on how to enter the contest.
