Playboy Celebrates its 69th Birthday in The Sandbox Metaverse
Fans will be able to celebrate 69 years of Playboy and share a 100,000 SAND prize pool.

After launching its MetaMansion in July, Playboy is back again in the virtual realm. This time, the iconic brand is celebrating its 69th birthday party in none other than The Sandbox metaverse! The free-to-play experience began on December 12th and will run until December 19th.
In this one-of-a-kind virtual party, visitors can island-hop through a magical world filled with Playboy Rabbitars, Playboy Party People, and iconic characters from Playboy's past and present. By completing in-game quests, players will earn exclusive memorabilia and share a 100,000 SAND prize pool.
50k SAND will be distributed among those who finished all in-game quests. Whereas another 50k will be given out to Playboy Rabbitar and Playboy Party People Avatar owners who took part in the event. To be eligible for prizes, players must make sure they have verified their identities in The Sandbox account settings.
To join the fun, create an account on The Sandbox, and install the Alpha launcher on your PC. Once done, log in to your account, click "Play" and search for the "Playboy 69th Birthday" banner under the Events tab. Tap on it for further instructions to complete all in-game quests. As of writing, users may encounter a "land inaccessible" error while trying to launch the Alpha launcher. This is something that the team is fixing at the moment.
Other than that, Playboy has also launched an exclusive NFT collection reflecting the brand's exotic history. These voxelized collectibles include the iconic April 1956 Cover of Playboy Magazine, a black convertible PlayboyMobile, an exclusive Rabbit Key, and more.
