PlayMining Shares Overview of Upcoming New Game, Rogue Roll Ruler’s (R3)
PlayMining has provided an overview of their upcoming new game, Rogue Roll Ruler’s (R3), revealing that it’s a 2D dungeon-crawler RPG where players use a party of 6 Character NFTs to progress through dungeons by rolling the dice, fighting monsters while uncovering treasure chests with equipment and potentially utility token DEP in the process. A pre-sale of Character NFTs is planned for August, with the game set to release on browsers in September this year.
PlayMining has provided an overview of their upcoming new game called Rogue Roll Ruler’s (R3), a 2D NFT dungeon-crawler RPG in development by Cross Games Co., Ltd.
In this new blockchain title, players progress through various dungeons by rolling the dice to determine how many steps they’ll take forward on the map. As you do this you’ll stumble upon various monsters to destroy using your party of varied characters in old-school turn-based gameplay. Aside from enemies, you’ll also find dungeons containing treasure chests in which you will gather equipment and items that will help you in exploring and dealing with any other foes ahead.
The game’s reward acquisition mechanism consists not only of in-game items, but also of PlayMining’s core utility token, DEP, which you may be able to earn as you explore the many dungeons on your journey. There will be special dungeons that open during events that the team states will be “regularly held,” allowing players to earn more items and DEP than they would in standard dungeons.
Equipment found within these dungeons come in different rarities and will be tradable on the marketplace as NFTs, but they’ll be in a non-NFT state when first acquired, requiring players to activate them as NFTs if they want to trade them. Aside from the ownership difference, turning equipment into an NFT gives you exclusive effects, additional enhancements, and higher DEP earnings. Players will be able to find 6 types of equipment: one-handed weapons, two-handed weapons, armor/clothing, gauntlets, shoes, and accessories. The more you use a certain piece of equipment, the lower durability it has, which causes a decrease in its effects and stats, making it thus important to use equipment with higher durability.
Playing the game will require owning a team of 6 Character NFTs. They will be available in 5 different rarities and 6 types: Attacker, Magic Attacker, Tank, Healer, Thief, and Support. Each Character also has 6 differing stats that increase when leveling up, with the rate of increase of a specific stat depending on the type of Character in question.
A pre-sale for Character NFTs is set to take place sometime in August this year, where players will have the chance of purchasing 2 different types of Characters on the PlayMining NFT marketplace.
Rogue Roll Ruler’s (R3) is scheduled to officially launch during September and, based on the FAQ, it seems it will be playable through both web and mobile browsers. The same page also reveals that a scholarship system will be available.
