Rebel Bots has recently revealed a gameplay demo of its upcoming play-to-earn PC and mobile title, Xoil Wars

Alongside the ~2-minute trailer the devs have also kicked off the Xoilium land sale featuring 150K plots, out of which 130K land are up for grabs for everyone at the price of $75 USDC, with each land including 3 fighting bot NFTs that can be used to play Xoil Wars. Land is also needed in order to play the game, and will be needed for future titles part of the Rebel Bots universe.

The gameplay video shows us a glimpse of the main screen from which you can head to play multiplayer PvP or jump into the game’s campaign. You can also see your base there and various other things, such as 4 different daily challenges. Completing one daily challenge rewards you in either Xoil, a cryptocurrency and in-game resource, or Spark, which is only an in-game resource.

Both Xoil and Spark are needed to mint new fighting bots, but Xoil can also be used for purchasing various parts, which are also needed to create a robot consisting of 5 different parts: Head, Torso, Left Arm, Right Arm and Legs. These parts can be traded and used to build NFTs, with the Head part determining which class the fighting bot will be. And the final piece of the puzzle to making a robot is RBLS, the game's own governance token. For more detailed info you can check out the in-depth whitepaper in 7 different languages here.

We also got to see some cartoonish 2D PvP gameplay, which is basically similar to Axie Infinity: Origin. You get paired up with a player of similar rating and take turns attacking each other with your teams of 3 robots, adding cards from the deck next to the unused ones in your hand every turn. The cards you have are based on the parts your fighting bots are made of, with each card consuming a certain amount of energy and immediately getting activated upon choosing to use it during your turn, like in regular card games such as Magic: The Gathering or Hearthstone. Aside from climbing the ranks, winning a PvP match may also reward you with Xoil, Spark and parts.

As of writing, 83,354 out of a total 150K land plots have been sold so far. Those who are interested in getting land plus 3 fighting bots can get the NFTs for $75 USDC over at the game’s website via the Polygon network. Out of the 150K, 10K is reserved for “marketing purposes" while another 10K is to be given to owners of genesis Rebel Bots NFTs.

Made in Unity, Xoil Wars is scheduled for launch in July this year. Some of the game’s investors include Ubisoft, Animoca Brands and more.
