REVV Racing Gecko Race 2.0 Tournament starts on July 14
A 180k $REVV prize pool is split across 3 racing sections, with each section requiring its own specific CoinGecko-themed NFT car in order to enter.
Polygon-based blockchain racing game REVV Racing has a new tournament for players to race in – it's called Gecko Race 2.0, and it requires players to race using a CoinGecko-themed REVV Racing Gecko car in order to be eligible for the tournament's 180k $REVV prize pool.
The 180k is split across 3 racing sections with each featuring a 60k $REVV reward pool. Each racing section requires a specific Gecko car, all of which are available on OpenSea. Every race is divided into two different pools each with their own leaderboard: one for drivers that use a shared link, and one for those racing on their own. How prizes are distributed across these two pools will depend on the total amount of sessions from both groups. For example, if 70% of sessions consists of players using a shared link and 30% coming from those driving on their own, then the rewards are distributed at a ratio of 70:30. In the Medium post for the tournament, the team states that in the event that "any driver prizes are below 5 REVV, it will be topped up to 5 REVV."
Apart from having the requested car, players will also have to pay 5 $REVV every time they try to race. While it is possible to participate in the tournament using a regular car NFT, the prizes won't be as good as for those who manage to do well with a CoinGecko-themed car. 500 players who end up placing high enough in a racing section to receive a reward will have to complete KYC verification.
The tournament starts on July 14th at 8am UTC and lasts 24 hours, ending on July 15th at 8am UTC.
