Riot Racers Car Upgrades and more released in latest update
Next to car upgrades, there are now achievements, staking, in-game wallet support for USDC and more.
The Riot Racers team has introduced the Car Upgrades feature and more in the latest update of the car racing blockchain title.
Players can now head to the Mechanic Shop and upgrade a variety of different car parts, including the engine, exhaust, performance chip, exhaust and more using the utility governance token RIOT, with higher upgrade levels also requiring USDC.
Next to this useful new feature, various other goodies have also been released in the large update. There’s now in-game wallet support for USDC, allowing players to participate in USDC races. The game’s RIOT token can now be staked thanks to the introduction of the staking feature available in the dApp. Leaderboards now load faster and display “who's in the lead for (paid) Competition Races.”
The first version of Billboards has been released, appearing as a banner at the top of the game dApp. There are now new rental splits, meaning owners can now set different rental percentage splits for paid and free races. Owners should check all their NFTs and add in the paid split in order to allow those renting their cars to participate in Competition Races.
Achievements have also been added, meaning players can now get rewarded when doing things such as staking, racing and upgrading, unlocking higher withdrawal limits.
The play-to-earn title is played from the game’s website and requires owning a Car and Driver NFT on the Polygon network in order to participate in free races. The game’s own metaverse is scheduled to launch in beta in Q4 this year.
