Sephora Brings This Year’s SEPHORiA Beauty Event to the Metaverse
Sephora is offering 2 different ways to attend this year’s SEPHORiA beauty event: live in NYC, or virtually in the metaverse, with the latter option being free to attend but with limited space. Those who go the digital route will get to earn a free commemorative NFT, play games, and more.

French-based cosmetics retailer Sephora has revealed that this year’s SEPHORiA, the company’s biggest beauty event, will be hosted both live but also in the metaverse.
The multinational retailer of various beauty products has decided to offer a virtual way of attending the annual event that will take place at the end of September, on the 29th and 30th, with the digital variant taking place specifically on September 29th from 9 AM ET to 11:59 PM ET. While the live event in NYC seems to require purchasing a ticket that comes in 2 different tiers, Silver and Gold, the one taking place in the metaverse will be available for free, based on current info on the official event website that displays 2 types of virtual event tickets: a free, Virtual Key, and an optional Virtual Key Swag. However, it’s also mentioned that, since space is limited, the free Virtual Key will be given away on a first come, first serve basis, so you’ll likely want to register for free as soon as possible when sign ups open on July 20, as there doesn’t seem to be any info on how many spots there are available.
By attending the digital event with a free Virtual Key, you’ll be able to customize your avatar, earn a free, limited-edition NFT, watch exclusive content, and play games to earn Beauty Insider points.
The optional Virtual Key Swag, which seems to be limited to US users only, is priced at $65 and will also be available in an undefined limited quantity, featuring a limited-edition SEPHORiA swag item and a product assortment worth $300+.
