Shaquille O’Neal to Host Party on Meta Platform
The new year party will feature Cardi B, Lil Yatchy, Killer Mike and many more.
The Shaq-tacular Spectacular New Year’s Eve party
American basketball legend, Shaquille O’Neal will be hosting the New Year’s Eve party virtually on Meta’s Virtual reality and social platforms. The party, dubbed “The Shaq-tacular Spectacular” will go on for an hour and feature some of the world’s best entertainers, including Ludacris, Killer Mike, Lil Yachty, and rap star Cardi B.
Aside from the many celebrities performing at the show, other fascinating features include basketball players expected to usher virtual reality viewers into the new year in the presence of cheerleaders, a marching band, and professional roller skaters. Top model, Camille Kostek, and former professional basketball player, Rob Gronkowski are expected to attend the event.
The virtual reality set promises to offer a feel of a party environment mixed with a sporty fantasy attraction; with features ranging from the main stage being set close to a basketball court and a roller rink. Shaq promised "The Shaq-tacular Spectacular" event offers the best music, fun, laughs, and many more. The event provides the opportunity to ring in 2023 with new connections and experiences, offers an event where friends and family are scattered across the world through virtual reality, and allows for a unique celebration of New Year’s Eve while amazingly going into 2023.
The Event Premiers at the Meta Horizon worlds
Meta has leveraged entertainment to promote the opportunities opened to virtual reality. Metaverse entertainment has in the past hosted a series of entertainment concerts in the virtual reality space, including a concert with an avatar of the late Notorious B.I.G. The Metaverse entertainment also hosted Jordan Peele’s movie titled “Nope” in virtual reality and the Haunted House: Trick-VR-Treat by Eli Roth in October.
Shaquille O’Neal’s “The Shaq-tacular Spectacular” premiers on New Year’s Eve at the Meta Horizon worlds and will be covered by Meta Quest TV through the Meta Quest 2 headset, at 3:30 p.m. PT. Organizers also promise to have the event displayed through their social media platforms.
