After several playtests, the Shiba Inu team is finally ready to release its long-awaited NFT card game Shiba Eternity on October 6th. Though the game is expected to hit the scenes in Apple App Store and Google Play Store, details are pretty scarce at the moment.
Last Friday, the Shiba Inu team took to Twitter to announce the exciting news. In its Twitter thread below, the group promised to release the entire lore of Shiba Eternity and project updates from Shytoshi Kusama on October 1st. However, none of this has happened as of writing.
Even so, fans are still waiting patiently for the latest updates from Shiba Inu. Some speculated that the team might also delay the launch due to unforeseen circumstances.
More about Shiba Eternity
Developed in partnership with PlaySide Studios, Shiba Eternity is an NFT collectible card game (CCG) made by Shiba Inu Games, LLC. The game allows players to craft their own decks and train with their Shiboshis to take on other players.
There are 6 different martial arts disciplines, such as Chewjitsu, for Shiboshis to choose from. Depending on the discipline chosen, it will give access to a set of cards that have different abilities and playstyles.
Notably, there are hundreds of cards and thousands of Shiboshis to collect in this game. Players can always mix and match various cards to create their own fighting style.
Of course, there's not much info about this game, especially its P2E mechanics. For now, it appears that players will mostly earn NFT cards instead of fungible tokens in Shiba Eternity. According to Kusama, 5% of the game's profits will be burned as well.
The mobile CCG is now available for testing in Vietnam and Australia. If you can't wait, here's a video showing a gameplay walkthrough of Shiba Eternity.
