Skyweaver announces Metaguild Skyliner Tournament
The tournament for the free-to-play trading card game starts on November 26 and pits 64 players through a single-elimination bracket, fighting to get to the top 3 spots in order to earn a share of the $500 USDC prize pool.
The Skyweaver team has announced a new competition called the Metaguild Skyliner tournament.
Hosted in collaboration with Metaguild, who describe themselves as being the “first hardcore gaming guild in Web3,” this tournament for the free-to-play trading card game is scheduled to start on November 26 at 12 PM CET and has 64 players battling their way to win a share of the $500 USDC prize pool, with the winner of the tournament earning $300, while 2nd place gets $150 and 3rd place $50. Entry is free and as of writing, 31 players have signed up, so there are still spots left to register via the Community Gaming website, an esports platform. In this case though, those who do sign up should also join the game’s official Discord server in order to avoid getting disqualified.
Players will go through a single-elimination bracket playing through a best of 3 matches, with the finals being a best of 5. As the tournament will use the Constructed mode, players are free to use their own decks, and every time you win with a deck, you are not allowed to use the same deck again “in your current match-up.” Every deck must also have a different Hero, with the rules also stating that the decks “are locked for the entire event, the third deck is available only in Finals” and that using the wrong deck will result in losing a match. In the event of a draw, players will have to play that game again using the same decks.
Those who want to sign up and find more detailed information on the rules and scheduling can do so using the link found in the tweet down below.
