Sorare Football Introduces New ETH Thresholds and Capped Modes for 2023
The latest update will see the fantasy football game launching a 250-point ETH threshold in a new Capped Mode competition for Limited, Rare, Super Rare, and Unique divisions.
New gameplay mechanics are coming to Sorare Football soon
As 2022 draws to a close, Sorare Football plans to introduce new gameplay mechanics, such as having ETH thresholds and capped mode competitions across different divisions.
At present, the point-based reward system (ETH threshold) only applies to the Rare Division. But that's about to change as this threshold will be applied across the Limited, Rare, Super Rare, and Unique divisions starting January 30th, 2023.
According to Sorare, such a move will result in more balanced gameplay, making the fantasy football game more logical and fun to play. ETH thresholds will be introduced in a new Capped Mode competition for each division mentioned above.
A 240-point cap will be implemented based on a player's Last-15 (L15) score. This point cap system will be similar to the one in Sorare NBA, adding more strategy to player selection. However, in Capped Mode 240, there will be no bonuses for Captains.
The threshold will be set at 250 points, with various ETH prizes allocated to those competing in the four divisions above. For instance, if you compete in the Limited division and your Capped Mode team achieves 250 points or more in a Game Week, you'll win $5 worth of ETH as below.
The new system will remain unchanged until July 2023, before Sorare re-evaluates the data ahead of the 2023-24 European football season.
The team will also remove the Global Unique Competition, Specialist and Underdog Competitions, and Rare eligibility from the Super Rare division. However, Sorare will also introduce more real-life rewards and experiences in 2023 as a reward for their loyal Managers.
