Sorare Launches $500,000 Premier League Winter Competition with Multiple Entry Format
The multiple entry format, giving managers more flexibility and chances to win.
Sorare, the fantasy football game based on blockchain technology, has launched a new competition. The features $500,000 in total cash rewards and a multiple entry format. The Premier League Winter Competition will run from November 25, 2023 to January 30, 2024. It will cover 11 Game Weeks, including the thrilling Boxing Day fixtures on December 26.
To participate in the competition, managers must build a five-player lineup within a 270-point cap. The lineup is based on a player's last-15 average score. Both XP and Captain Bonuses apply. Only Premier League player scores are covered in this competition. There are four eligibility tiers: Limited, Rare, Super Rare, and Unique. Each tier has its own minimum requirements for the number of 2023-24 season cards that managers must have in their lineup.
In a departure from previous Sorare competitions, managers will be able to enter up to three lineups (15 cards) each Game Week. This gives managers the flexibility to experiment with different lineup strategies. It also increases their chances of winning.
Game Rewards
The $500,000 in total cash rewards will be distributed across all four eligibility tiers, with nearly 1,000 top lineups rewarded each week. Sorare is still finalizing the specific prize pool breakdown, but it is expected that the top lineup in each tier will win a significant cash prize.
Sorare is testing the multiple entry format in this competition to see how it is received by the community. If successful, Sorare may implement this format in future competitions.
