Space and Time, a Microsoft-backed Decentralized Data Warehousing Platform, Announces Partnership with Wemade
The strategic partnership between Space and Time, a data warehousing platform for smart contracts, and South Korean game developer Wemade, will give the latter access to various developer tools that will help its subsidiary Wemix in bolstering various blockchain gaming services.

Microsoft-backed Web3 data warehouse focused on smart contracts, Space and Time, has officially announced that they have formed a strategic partnership with MIR4 developer Wemade.
According to the report from The Block, with this partnership, the South Korean gaming company will be able to make use of the data platform’s various developer tools that will help in creating “more complex earning payouts for its games” as well as in analyzing game activity to make sure its tamperproof while lowering on-chain storage costs using the data warehouse in the process.
In light of the announcement, Shane Kim, the CEO of Wemix, the blockchain gaming-focused subsidiary of Wemade, had the following to say:
"We believe that blockchain is the future of gaming, offering gamers greater ownership and control over their digital assets. As the blockchain transformation of traditional games continues to grow, the partnership with Space and Time will help strengthen our blockchain infrastructure capabilities and contribute to our commitment to building an inter-game economy."
This partnership may not come as much of a surprise given that Microsoft is backing both companies, with Microsoft’s venture arm M12 leading a $20 million strategic funding round for Space and Time in September last year, while the tech giant also participated in a funding round in which Wemade managed to successfully raise an astounding $46 million amidst unfavorable market conditions in November 2022. Given the complexity of blockchain gaming, especially the intricacies seen throughout the catalog of games found in WEMIX’s ecosystem that consists of play-to-earn MMORPGs such as MIR4 and MIR M: Vanguard and Vagabond, it’s not only natural such a partnership is formed that will strengthen analytics and thus help developers create better experiences.
