Splinterlands Announces The Rebellion Card Set
Splinterlands has announced the Rebellion card set, the fifth core edition for which a presale of 500k booster packs will be held on October 18th at 6 PM UTC, with the set scheduled to officially launch on December 5th.

The Splinterlands team has announced the introduction of the Rebellion card set to their blockchain trading card game, with the expansion scheduled to launch on Tuesday, December 5th.
What Is Rebellion?
The Rebellion set is the fifth core edition that the team refers to as their “most ambitious card set release ever” due featuring a couple of new gameplay elements that add “more player agency and engagement to the game.”
This upcoming set features 96 cards, including 2 limited-edition promo cards that will be only available in the presale. There are also 9 Legendary airdrop cards, which are set to be awarded through a “completely re-imagined system” that will encourage players to hold Rebellion packs and cards, as keeping them will be necessary for getting these rewards.
Once this set is released, the developers have revealed that the Untamed set, “including Azmare Dice and all related reward and promo cards,” will be excluded from Modern format battles, marking the first time a card set has been rotated out of the Modern format since it’s been introduced to the play-to-earn title.
Presale Details
A presale of 500k Rebellion booster packs will commence on Wednesday, October 18th, at 2 PM ET/ 6 PM UTC in the shop section of the game’s official website. It will last for 30 days or until all packs are sold out. A booster pack contains 5 random cards from the set, with one guaranteed to be a rare card. Every pack costs 5000 Credits or 5000 DEC, with the pricing set to be the same for the regular sale as well. What differs from the presale to the official launch is that packs bought during this early sale give you a chance of gaining limited-edition bonus rewards, including the 2 new limited-edition promo cards.
A leaderboard for the presale will be in place, with the top 6 accounts that bought the highest number of Rebellion booster packs getting the chance to help in designing a Legendary Summoner card, which will one of the 9 airdrop cards that will be added to the set.
