Splinterlands Is Celebrating 5 Year Anniversary with The Great Burning Event
The Great Burning is a 5 year anniversary event set to start on May 30th and end on June 29th, with $150k worth of Splinterlands assets up for grabs by burning DEC or DEC-B tokens.
Splinterlands is celebrating 5 years since the launch of the game’s official website and first Alpha pack sale by giving away $150k worth of assets through The Great Burning event.
This 5 year anniversary event is planned to start on May 30th and end on June 29th. During that time, there will be a special new tab on the shop page of the website where players will be able to access the event, which involves burning DEC or DEC-B tokens in exchange for points that give you a chance of earning a asset from a prize pool comprised of various different Splinterlands assets from the team’s treasury that they have gathered throughout these 5 years. Players will need to burn the tokens on the specific event page in order to earn points, as burning them through any other method will not coutn towards the event.
Players are encouraged to burn their tokens as soon as possible, because the earlier you burn them, the more points you can earn. According to the announcement, at the beginning of the event, it’s possible to earn 3 points per token burned, regardless of whether it’s DEC or DEC-B. The amount of points gained per burned token will gradually decrease as time goes on, with those burning on the last day getting only 1 point per token, thus making it more difficult for “for players to snipe the top leaderboard spots at the last minute.”
When it comes to leaderboard rewards, the following prizes are up for grabs for the top 200 players:

Missing out on the top 200 does not however exclude you from having a chance at getting any prize. For every 10k points that you earn, you have a chance at getting one of the following items: Land Plot, Alpha Pack, Beta Pack, Untamed Pack, Nightmare Pack, Riftwatchers Pack and Runi.
