Star Atlas Introduces DAO Proposals for Decentralized Governance
The introduction of DAO Proposals to Star Atlas aims to enable decentralized, sustainable governance, with the first POLIS Improvement Proposal (PIP-1) submitted by ATMTA, Inc. with the goal of establishing DAO operations.

The Star Atlas team has officially announced the introduction of DAO proposals for their sci-fi gaming metaverse, marking a step forward in bringing decentralized, sustainable governance to the Solana-based title.
With this new feature, players now have the opportunity to vote and comment on the first POLIS Improvement Proposal (PIP-1) and future suggestions over on the official proposals website.
The first proposal was submitted by the studio behind the game, ATMTA, Inc., containing 3 key articles that aim to determine how DAO operations will work. These 3 articles include Blockchain Supremacy Clause, the SA Constitution, and the SA Foundation. The first defines the DAO as a group of autonomous programs on the Solana network; the second is about defining the governance framework, while the last one ratifies the Star Atlas DAO, acting as a “real-world agent protecting and conducting legal and business actions on behalf of the Star Atlas DAO.”
The co-founder of Star Atlas and CEO of ATMTA, Michael Wagner, said the following:
“The submission of the first PIP to establish the Star Atlas DAO is a key moment in the evolution of game development. It is a milestone for a sustainable, participatory governance system where everyone can have a say in shaping the Star Atlas metaverse, and directly contribute to the game they’re playing.”
PIP-1 has its own roadmap that is divided into 4 different phases: Declaration, Deliberation, Decision, and Democratic Convergence. The first phase is the publication of the proposal itself; the second phase involves members of the DAO posting public comments alongside public interest voting and at least one scheduled live debate, while in the third phase, the PIP moves to official on-chain voting, and the last phase is the formal ratification of PIP-1.
Users with locked POLIS tokens in the POLIS Locker Electorate System who have POLIS Voting Power can participate in governance voting.
