What's in Star Atlas' upgraded Showroom
Open-world blockchain RPG Star Atlas has announced the release date of Showroom R2.1.
According to ATMTA Inc., this update will be live on June 1st and will include fresh content and new features. More flyable ships, a new jetpack, single-player ground racing, an improved dogfighting arena, and marketplace integration are some of the features added.
The Showroom is the first playable demo of Star Atlas, currently available on Epic Games. Users can play, explore, hang out with friends, and engage in various activities on their virtual spaceships. There are two mini-games available: i) the Dogfighting arena, where players face waves of AI-controlled enemies, and ii) the air racing game, where players tempt their fate through the twists and turns of the aerial track.
According to the team, all 49 ships will be flyable in the upcoming release. Players will get a new jetpack to move faster in the open world. Single-player ground racing will also hit the scene, allowing OG pilots to test their skills. On top of that, the dogfighting arena will get some visual upgrades, resulting in an immersive gameplay experience.
As for those looking for new spaceships, they will surely benefit from the marketplace integration in R2.1. A new fighter spaceship – Pearce X6 – will also be playable, which comes with generous storage and deadly weaponry.
To access the Showroom, players must first stake an NFT ship in Faction Fleet for a week to obtain the Seasoned Fleet Badge. Once done, they will receive an access code to the Showroom on the Epic Games Store. For more details, check out Star Atlas' official Discord server.
