Star Atlas Launches Pre-Alpha Unreal Engine 5 Showroom on Epic Games Store
Those with a pre-Alpha access key can download the playable experience from Epic Games.
Epic Games welcomes the next AAA blockchain title Star Atlas
At its second community-focused 426LIVE event yesterday, ATMTA, Inc. released Star Atlas' long-awaited Unreal Engine 5 (UE5) pre-Alpha showroom on Epic Games Store.
Anyone with a pre-Alpha access key can now download the playable experience from Epic Games. With a real-time UE5 game environment, the Showroom provides a first glimpse into what players can look forward to in Star Atlas.
"We're really excited to finally be able to give users a taste of Star Atlas and start to bring this immersive world to life," said Michael Wagner, Co-Founder of Star Atlas and CEO of ATMTA, Inc. "We're excited to bring our triple-A quality blockchain game to the Epic Games Store, and we can't wait to see Web3 gaming become mainstream."
What's in the pre-Alpha Showroom?
In this pre-Alpha demo, players can control Asha, an ace pilot, captain of the Council of Peace forces, and instructor of the Academy.
Players can also explore the grounds of the Showroom and even summon their ships by taking Asha to one of the teleportation terminals. If you don't have a ship in your wallet, you can still visit the Showroom and view a sample spaceship.
As of now, the demo only supports a single-player experience. However, ATMTA, Inc. will expand its functionality in the future, allowing players to host up to 32 friends in a Showroom. The full Showroom with extended functionality is expected to hit the scene in Q4 2022.
How to access the Showroom?
The showroom demo is only playable by those who have pre-Alpha access keys. To be eligible for a key, you need to join the Star Atlas metaverse, select a faction, choose your ship, and enroll it in your faction's fleet. Depending on the badge level, players may obtain a different number of keys to access the game. For more information, check out the Medium post here.
