Star Atlas' Pre-Season Showroom Hits the Scene with New Key Features
The showroom is now bigger and better, featuring a PvE dogfighting mode, air track racing, and multiplayer integrations.
What's new in Star Atlas' playable showroom?
Solana gaming metaverse Star Atlas has launched Pre-Season R2 with an updated showroom. With the new PvE dogfighting mode, air track racing, and multiplayer tests, this build is set to offer a more immersive gameplay experience.
First unveiled in September, the showroom now features an upgraded version of the Volant Station, where gamers can play, explore, and hang out with friends. New characters and customizations are available. And players can engage in thrilling air combats and air racing.
According to ATMTA Inc., the developer of Star Atlas, fans will have plenty of opportunities to put their skills to the test. In the Dogfighting Arena, they will face tons of AI-generated enemies, each using different ships and strategies to test their air combat maneuvers. While racing, players will get to tempt their fate, pushing the limits of their ships through the twists and turns of the aerial track.
Everyone will be able to summon and interact with a Floyd Liner for free in the showroom. Those who own a Calico MedTech or Pearce X4 can also summon their fleets and fly them through the depths of space.
As of now, the single-player mode is fully operational. However, multiplayer testing has been paused due to an EGS authentication issue. This is expected to be resolved on Monday, according to ATMTA.
Those who haven't gotten access to the R2 showroom can do so by getting their first badge in Faction Fleet. All players need to do is join Star Atlas, select a faction, choose their ship, and enroll it in the Faction's Fleet. Once done, they will receive a pre-Alpha access key which can be entered into the Epic Store user account options to access the game. For more details, refer to this article here.
