STEPN Reveals Action Plan to Enhance its M2E Economy
STEPN is set to boost its Move-2-Earn economy by adding significant upgrades to key areas of the game.
Solana-based Move-2-Earn platform, STEPN, has disclosed a well-detailed action plan to improve its in-game economy. The new plan is said to be extensive and will affect many significant aspects of the game.
Some of the notable aspects of the game set to be affected by the plan include the cross-realm energy bridges, the sneaker minting, and the recycling. A realm in STEPN is a server that can host a single fork of Move-2-Earn games. However, the original realms, SOL and BSC, remain the most popular, with a high tendency of achieving cross-realm energy sharing between them.
For sneaker minting changes, the platform will simplify the procedures for users who use the app to get minting scrolls from mystery boxes (MBs). The platform intends to actualize this by reworking the MB system of the app to enable users with common sneakers and at least 2 energies to use it to get a mystery box. To increase integration time for freshly minted sneakers into the marketplace, the STEPN platform is raising the cooldown duration for minting from 48 hours to 72 hours.
Addressing the dynamic minting cost, a cost will be incurred on minting, which will be on both GMT and GST. The GST part will be constant, while the GMT part will vary. Users on STEPN will also be allowed to synthesize sneakers to obtain higher quality. Users are required to synthesize just five same-quality sneakers to obtain higher quality.
Finally, to add social elements to the minting and synthesis process, the platform has made it possible to include an engraved message on a synthesized sneaker.
