STG Football is launching in beta on the Epic Games Store
The free-to-play title that is officially licensed by the NFL Players Association is launching sometime this month and will feature 4v4 multiplayer gameplay.
STG Football, an upcoming free-to-play American football game officially licensed by the NFL Players Association, will be launching in beta on the Epic Games Store.
To mark the occasion, developer SuperTeam Games has released a trailer featuring a minute and a half of footage ahead of the beta release. The trailer reveals that it will be played in 4v4, with the rest of the players in the team controlled by AI. It also shows actual bits of gameplay where we can see that we’ll be able to use 4 different abilities: Super Dive, Super Speed, Super Power and Super Catch. Each of these are fairly self-explanatory: the first one can be used for diving to reach a pass before an opposing player does; the second is sprinting, while the third is useful for tackling a player carrying the ball and the last one is used for intercepting the opponent’s passes.
There will be officially-licensed NFLPA players, including Aaron Donald, Stefon Diggs, Micah Parsons and more. Players will be able to own and trade them as Superstar NFTs and it will be possible to level them up.
The trailer can be viewed in the tweet down below.
The beta is set to launch on PC sometime this month. Those who are interested in playing this early version of the NFT title should register for an account on the game’s official website. When asked by a Twitter user on whether the game will be playable on mobile devices, the developers replied, saying that they’ll start off with the PC version “and then cross-platform on consoles next year. Mobile could come after that possibly!”
