Sunflower Land and Million on Mars create the first ever cross-chain crossover event
Started on May 24, these two play-to-own blockchain titles are hosting the first ever cross-chain crossover event that will last for 30 days.

Sunflower Land and Million on Mars are hosting the first ever cross-chain crossover event, which started on May 24 and will be available for 30 days.
In a statement to GamesBeat, the CEO of Sunflower Land, Adam Hannigan, said:
“We’re really interested in creating experiences with other products and games in the web3 space, especially if they are on other blockchains as it helps lay the foundation for interoperability between experiences. As a web3 project what we are doing with this crossover is truly the first-of-its-kind and a true differentiator.”
The 2D blockchain farming game runs on the Polygon network, while Million on Mars, a play-to-own sci-fi title is made on the WAX blockchain. The latter will be playable on Solana sometime in the future.
Million on Mars chief creative officer Erik Bethke added:
“There’s a very strong community of smart, ambitious and hardworking people in the web3 space. It’s exciting to be able to partner together across blockchains with a fantastic open-source team like Sunflower Land, who also built a very fun and gorgeous game.”
Sunflower Land players can jump in the cross-universe event by talking to Melon Dusk who needs help with repairing his rocket while Million on Mars players can login every day and claim their Daily Rations, receiving 1 Sunflower Seed every day for the first 14 days of the crossover event. You can also find them by scavenging. As days pass you’ll also earn Golden Sunflowers. These Sunflower Seeds can be traded in the Sunflower Shop, in which Mars players can also swap 3 Golden Sunflowers to get a $20 valued Sunflower Pack containing 2 Common Gen 2 Solar Panels, one Common Gen 2 Land Deed, a Common Gen 2 Greenhouse, Common Gen 2 Water Filter and Common Gen 2 C.A.D. These can be placed on land for various uses. The Greenhouse for example allows players to plant Sunflower Seeds to grow them into Sunflowers, while the Water Filter can turn the ice found while scavenging into water.
