Sygnum’s Metaverse Hub Will Go Live Soon
Sygnum has announced it will be launching its metaverse hub in Decentraland. The Swiss crypto bank is an active crypto-native member in the Web3 space and has executed projects like Cryptopunk #6808, regulated Ethereum staking on open blockchains, creating asset management products for DeFi applications, and tokenizing a blue-chip NFT. The metaverse will be launched via a Livestream event by 11 am CET on the 27th of September.
The announcement was made via a tweet:
The hub is a three-story building, and users can learn about Sygnum in the Garden and enjoy Sygnum’s vision of Future Finance in action throughout the space. They will also enjoy immersive interactions in areas such as an exhibition hall with stage performances, an interactive NFT gallery with curated exhibitions from Sygnum creators and clients, an event space for Livestream events and concerts, and an SYGN lounge with a CryptoPunk receptionist.
The Metaverse Has Enormous Potential
A report published in June by McKinsey showed that the metaverse has the potential to reach $5 trillion in market cap by 2030. Sygnum is leveraging the ability of the metaverse as a platform where financial, social, and digital worlds interact through connected devices.
The Chief Clients Officer of Sygnum, Martin Burgherr, said,
“Metaverse investment is ramping up, powered by crypto-enabled retail transactions and a new generation of users completely at home with socialising, shopping and working in virtual spaces. Our new metaverse hub is the natural place to showcase Sygnum’s Web3 innovations and provide a trusted entry point for investors into the fast-growing Future Finance economy,”
Sygnum is a member of the governing council of Klaytn, a Korean crypto blockchain community. This development joins them with the growing team of banks such as JP Morgan, KEB Hana Bank, and HSBC already in the metaverse.
