Synergy of Serra Launches the Base Set Crate Unlocking Event
The Base Set Crate Unlocking Event is live, allowing Synergy of Serra players to deposit their Base Set crates in the first phase in order to have them placed into a randomly-generated queue that gives holders a fair chance of getting new cards with low mint numbers. Deposited crates will start getting unlocked on September 24th.
Synergy of Serra developer Calystral has announced the start of the Base Set Crate Unlocking Event.
What is the Base Set Crate Unlocking Event?
The Base Set Crate Unlocking Event allows holders of Base Set crates to deposit their assets and have them automatically unlocked on Sunday, September 24th, after which holders can open their crates to find out what cards are inside. It’s similar to the Transcendent Set Crate Unlocking Event, with some “slight changes” made for this one. Virtual Set crates are not ready to be opened yet as the Vaults of the Virtuals, the game’s first card expansion set, is still in pre-sale.
The event is split into 3 phases: The Collection, The Unlocking, and The Celebration.
Phase 1: The Collection
The first phase began on September 10th and gives holders a 2-week window to deposit their Base Set crates from the Events page of the game’s official website. Deposited crates are placed in a random order, so everyone has a chance of being first or last in the queue, regardless of how early or late you deposit during this phase. Once the countdown timer is finished, the next phase begins.
Phase 2: The Unlocking
The second phase will kick off on September 24th at 12:00 UTC and is when the crates will start getting unlocked in the order that’s been randomly generated. A live event for the occasion will be hosted on the game’s official Discord server. This phase does not include opening the crates, only unlocking them, with the mint numbers of new cards set to be assigned when the crates are unlocked, not when they are opened. This also ensures a level playing field where players have no need to hurry up to open their crates.
Phase 3: The Celebration
Once every crate from the queue has been unlocked, the event moves into the third and final phase, when all unlocked crates can be officially opened, with the announcement stating that any other crate can also be opened straight away without needing to join the queue. Various info and stats regarding the event will be available on the game’s website.
