Synergy of Serra Proto Alpha v1.11.1 Introduces Large Gameplay & Visual Changes
The Proto Alpha v1.11.1 of Synergy of Serra brings with it significant gameplay and visual changes, including shorter turn times in ranked matches, the removal of Energy, and more.
Developer Calystral has released Proto Alpha v1.11.1 for its in-development blockchain card game, Synergy of Serra, with the update introducing significant gameplay and visual changes to the closed prototype.
The latest patch brings with it smoother and simplified gameplay that makes it more accessible to newcomers, with improved visuals further complimenting the new experience.
Ranked matches are now more fast-paced as the team has shortened the turn timer from 120 to 90 seconds, while lobby matches remain unaffected, so you can still enjoy non-ranked games without there being a turn timer adding pressure. As for Attachments, they won’t be played in hand anymore but on the board instead, while the area of effect on the Unit is now larger, so instead of having to drop the Attachment in a hexagonal slot like before, you now simply place it on any Unit that has a free slot.
When it comes to Faction Points, players can now only get them through card effects, but they can now also be spent on Enhancing Units should you have enough points, with the points from the applicable Faction getting spent.
Perhaps the biggest change of all has been made to the resource system, because Energy has been completely removed from the game, meaning that you can now play any card from your hand without being limited, thus making the only limit “your skill and imagination.”
When it comes to visuals, cards now have in-game tooltips attached, while keywords and triggers now come with colored tags, with the latter featuring more “descriptive language” in order to add more clarity.
