The First Web3 Serverless Online Game, "Kingdom Under Fire," Is Now on Steam
Blood Technology, the creator of Locus Chain, recently revealed that Kingdom under Fire: War of Heroes is live on Steam.
Kingdom Under Fire is a real-time strategy game based on Web3. Locus Chain is the blockchain that enables Kingdom Under Fire or KUF.
Locus Chain is a significant achievement for Blood Technology in hosting a serverless online game. Kingdom Under Fire will utilize Locus Chain's GameChain. Moreover, GameChain is a technology that facilitates current game development by swapping the online game server with the Locus Chain's blockchain network.
Finally, this change allows gamers to play the game without the need for a developer or publisher. Furthermore, various games will incorporate the GameChain blockchain into their online modes, cutting server costs in the long run.
Insights of the CEO of Blood Technology
Sang-Yoon Lee, CEO of Blood Technology, said that rolling out GameChain is a critical milestone as they proceed toward launching the Locus Chain's mainnet. He expressed pride that the next edition of Kingdom Under Fire would be an online game that might use modern technologies commercially.
He went on to claim that GameChain would have many uses for game creators that want to go over and above what other blockchain networks can provide now in terms of transaction costs and scalability possibilities.
Bloom Technology aims to publish multiple games utilizing Locus Chain's Gamechain. Further, it will be the first completely decentralized public blockchain, clearing the road for development into many other sectors. As per the Bloom team, Locus Chain's creators are mostly high-tech researchers and gaming developers.
