All you need to know about the Illuvium Arena Private Beta 2
After months of waiting, Illuvium is now ready to launch the second beta testing for its Arena auto battler game. Players can expect tons of exciting updates, such as the new T0 Illuvials, synergies, bonding, augments, simplified Omega progressions, and more.
Existing testers will be able to access the new build at launch. All they need to do is log in to their Illuvium account and download a new version of the game. Those who haven't got the Private Beta access can apply for it over here.
According to Illuvium, the team has added 106 new Illuvials, with 75 being T0s and 31 being Lynxes. Each of them comes with a diverse range of stats and Omegas, so players may want to check them out in detail.
What's more, Illuvials can now gain dominant synergies, and Rangers will be able to bond with Illuvials to obtain their synergies. When combined with the Ranger's weapon of choice, it will result in an even more complex synergy for the Ranger.
Besides that, Illuvium has introduced Augments, a new type of card that can modify Illuvials' purpose and behavior, strengthen their current role, or give them an entirely new role. Up to two augment cards can be added to each Illuvial on the player's battle board.
There are several changes to the Arena survival mode as well. For instance, the wave limit has been increased to 40, and players can gain a 10% interest bonus on any unused mastery points per round. Also, the time allowance for planning phases starts at 40 seconds instead of 60 and goes up by 5 seconds each round.
Furthermore, the game now comes with checkpoints, allowing runs to last longer and misplays to be less punishing than in the first beta. In Competitive Mode, players can unlock checkpoints every 5 waves and use them up to 3 times in a run. While in Training Mode, players can unlock these every wave and use them for an unlimited number of times.
Of course, these are just some of the notable updates in the Illuvium Arena Private Beta 2. There's a long list of tweaks to the Illuvials' Omegas, which are not covered in this article. For more information, check out the official post here.
