Illuvium Has Gained Almost 7,000 Players for its Closed Beta
Yesterday, Illuvium's co-founder Kieran took to Discord to announce that the game has close to 7k beta players! Given the recent hype and its successful land sale, Kieran also dropped more updates on what's coming next. Let's take a look!
The Illuvium Beta player count is close to 7k now!
Yesterday, Illuvium's co-founder Kieran took to Discord to announce that the game has close to 7k beta players in total. This is an amazing feat, considering that the game only launched its closed beta to 500 players back in April. With bad-ass graphics and AAA gameplay, Illuvium has certainly won the hearts of many RPG fans.
Seeing that, Kieran gave us a few exciting updates as well. First off, the team is considering opening up the beta to all $ILV holders. This will happen as soon as the game's backend folks feel confident about the game. To that note, it's safe to say that all Illuvium fans including the writer of this article, can't wait for this to happen already.
Next, the team is building a new Survival Mode with PvP gameplay too. As of now, players can only access the PvE Survival Mode in closed beta. So, it would be interesting to see how PvP will spice things up in Illuvium.
With the project making more than $72 million from its recent land sale, Kieran assured everyone that the team is working hard to ship the products. In his own words: "We have hundreds of people working 12-hour days, six days a week. But we have not stopped pushing." Given that, Kieran asked for the players' patience and understanding when it comes to the game's release date.
And not to worry though. The project team will always keep in touch with the DAO advisory, Illuvinati Council, on any updates or changes. According to Kieran, the devs will inform the Council on when products will likely be ready. And the Council will decide when to launch them.
All things considered, it does look like the Illuvium team is fully occupied at the moment. Not surprising though as the team is trying to work on several games at the same time. This includes Illuvium Zero, Illuvitars, Over World, and Arena. Plus, the Survival Mode needs constant updates too.
