A better idea of how Summoning works in The Red Village

Play-to-earn dark fantasy game The Red Village (TRV) has unveiled Summoning Part IV, which describes how Summoning works in detail. The final article covers Champions' Traits, Summoning costs, and how players can leverage this to expand their teams.

Summoning is akin to breeding in TRV, where a new fighter is born by combining blood extracted from two Champions in a demonic ritual. There are 3 main traits that players must know before performing this dark ritual.

First are the Cosmetic/Rarity traits, which determine the Breed, Armour Colour, and background of resulting Champions. Next are the Fighting Traits, which dictate new Champions' Strength, Defence, Attack, and Omega attributes. The last one is the Genetic Traits that influence the likelihood of Cosmetic and Fighting Traits being passed on to a Summoned Champion.

Cosmetic and Fighting traits can be revealed within a range using Wisdom Points obtained from TRV tournaments. However, Genetic Traits can never be unveiled with this method and won't be visible to Battlemasters.

Given the importance of Wisdom Points, Blood Queen has kicked off a limited-time Day Zero Cup, which grants at least double Wisdom Points for each tournament a Champion enters.

Upon reaching a certain number of fights, Blood Queen will commence the first Summoning cycle in the game. As of writing, it takes another 876 battles to do so. Once Summoning is live, all Battlemasters can visit Bloodwraith to perform this ceremony.

There are two fees associated with Summoning, both of which are paid by the Battlemaster who keeps the Summoned Champion. First is the Bloodwraith fee, a flat $25 for each Summoning. Second is the Bloodfee, which pays for the blood donated by Bloodgiver. There's no limit to how high a Bloodfee can be, but there is a minimum charge based on the Bloodgiver's Genotype.
